Clifford Chance won international law firm of the year for the second consecutive year at IFLR’s 20th annual Europe Awards. The firm had roles on 26 shortlisted and four winning deals, while its equity, structured finance and financial services regulatory practices all picked up team of the year wins.
The ceremony, held at Grosvenor House on April 4, brought together some of the continent’s best legal talent to celebrate 2018’s most innovative cross-border European transactions and the teams that worked on them.
White & Case again picked up the coveted most innovative US law firm in Europe award, while Linklaters, Davis Polk & Wardwell, Kirkland & Ellis, Latham & Watkins and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett all came away with team awards.
The European Investment Bank’s Eila Kreivi received the outstanding contribution to regulatory reform award for her work in sustainable finance, while former Skadden partner Michael Hatchard was presented with the lifetime achievement award, recognising his influence on M&A and corporate practice.
Full results from the ceremony are below, full details on all the nominated deals and teams can be found in the Book of the Night, and all the photos are here.
