For IFLR's latest podcast, we spoke to Arlene McDermott, portfolio director at London Stock Exchange Group's LCH, about working in the financial services industry and being part of the LGBT+ community. McDermott is co-chair of Proud, LSEG’s LGBT+ affinity network and recently featured in the Pride Power List and Diva Magazine’s Visible Lesbian 100 List.

Following our discussion with Laurie Robinson-Haden, founder and CEO of Corporate Counsel Women of Color, we decided to continue to look at the experience of being part of a minority group and working in financial services.

Here, McDermott talks to us about her personal journey, how to make your organisation LGBT+ friendly, and how culture and attitudes have changed in the City of London during the last few decades.
