Elena Papachristou

Elena co-heads the capital markets and financial services regulation practice at Papapolitis & Papapolitis. She acts for international and domestic corporate and financial institutions on large-scale equity and debt capital market transactions, including initial and secondary public offerings, private placements, and takeover bids of companies listed on the Athens Stock Exchange.

Elena has more than 20 years’ experience in banking and capital markets regulation, funds, and corporate governance. She regularly advises international financial institutions and funds houses in relation to foreign funds and, in general, the provision of banking, investment, and payment services, and the trading of derivatives and off-exchange transactions.

Elena is recognized by international legal directories, having been ranked as a Legal 500 “Next Generation Partner, and as a Highly Regarded Lawyer by IFLR 1000. She has authored numerous publications on banking, capital markets, and corporate governance topics.
